Lo Ba yom (2013)

Responding to Hayim Nahman Biyalik’s Poem “Lo Bayim Ve Lo Balayla”, a poem about a young woman awaiting her shidukh (match), this installation juxtaposes traditional Jewish matchmaking with imaginary Israeli archetypes: the nurse, the vampire bride, the naked warrior, and the working youth (Ha’Noar Ha’Oved). Exhibited in YYZ Gallery, Toronto.
